Annual Labor Day Cookout: Join us on August 31st from 3 PM to 6 PM at 65 Memorial Park Ave, in the Community Room for our last cookout of the year. It's going to be a blast! Look out for the flyer that outlines all the exciting details. We can't wait to see you there.
Donna DeLauri Backpacks: Backpack distribution will take place during the Labor Day cookout. Keep an eye out for sign-up sheets to secure your backpack. We're thrilled that the Donna DeLauri Foundation continues to support Quaker Meadows students. A big thank you to Doreen Donovan and her family for their ongoing support through the foundation.

Manager's and Maintenance Notes
One Call System: We are now implementing the one call system where we notify residents of any upcoming inspections, events etc. If you change your telephone number or email address, please let the office know right away so you do not miss out on any important updates. We are excited about this change.
Change in Income: Please notify the office within 14 days of any income changes in your household. This will allow us to make the necessary change and allow us to give you a 30-day notice of the rental change.
Welcome Mats: Per the Lynn Fire Department, we do not allow mats in front of apartment doors in the buildings as this poses a trip hazard should there ever be a fire. We thank for you for your cooperation with this important matter!
Bike Riding/Scooters: The weather is getting warmer and everyone wants to be outside, please do not ride bikes, scooters, skate boards around our community. We want everyone to have a safe Summer.
Trash Reminder: As the warmer weather approaches, please remind your family and visitors of a few important issues. All trash bags need to be tied up before placing them in the dumpsters and so trash doesn’t fall out and ruin our beautiful grounds. Our maintenance staff are out there working hard to keep our property looking its best and we need everyone’s cooperation.
Thank you,
Quaker Meadows Office and Maintenance Team
5 Healthy Summer Habits
Stay hydrated: Drinking enough water is crucial, especially during the hot summer months when our bodies lose more fluids through sweating. Adequate hydration helps maintain bodily functions and prevents dehydration.
Apply sunscreen: The sun's rays can be damaging to the skin, leading to sunburn, premature aging, and an increased risk of skin cancer. Applying sunscreen with a high SPF protects your skin from harmful UV rays, ensuring its health and vitality.
Enjoy the outdoors: Summer provides a great opportunity to engage in outdoor activities such as walking, jogging, swimming, or simply relaxing in nature. Spending time outdoors not only allows you to soak up some vitamin D but also offers mental health benefits, such as reduced stress and improved mood.
Eat fresh fruits and vegetables: Summer is the perfect time to indulge in the abundance of fresh produce. Fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that support overall health and boost the immune system. Additionally, many fruits and vegetables have high water content, providing hydration in addition to nutrition.
Take breaks when needed: While it's tempting to make the most of the longer days and pleasant weather, it's important to listen to your body's signals and rest when necessary. Overexertion in hot weather can lead to heat-related illnesses. Take breaks in shaded or cool areas, allowing yourself time to recharge and avoid the risk of heat exhaustion or heatstroke.
