Community Updates

We're thrilled to announce that our Memorial Day cookout was a smashing success! We're still feeling the echoes of laughter and warmth from our Memorial Day celebration, where residents came together. From juicy burgers to sizzling hot dogs, there was something for everyone to enjoy as we savored the flavors of summer.

Exciting times ahead in our community! Here's a sneak peek at a few events coming your way soon. Our Labor Day Cook out will be on August 29, 2024, and for all the residents that has been asking "yes the dunk tank will be at the Labor Day cookout." Look out for the flyer for more information. We can't wait to see you there!

We have an exciting opportunity for you to get involved and make a difference in our community. We currently have two spots available on the Resident Council board, and we're looking for dedicated individuals who are passionate about shaping the future of our community. For more information contact Ana Sanchez at 781-596-1300.

Thanks to the success of last year’s Donna Delauri Backpack Drive. Her family and foundation has decided to fund it again this year! We so appreciate their generosity to the Quaker Meadows residents. Back packs will be filled with school supplies for Quaker Meadows residents who will be attending school this fall. Flyers will be distributed soon to sign up. The backpacks will be distributed at the Labor Day cookout on August 29th. We will be excited to see smiles on all the kids faces.

We are planning on scheduling the Canobie Lake bus trip for August. Hopefully it doesn’t get rained out like last year. We will work on the details and send a flyer around announcing the date. Watch for the details.

Quaker Meadows received the Landscaping Award last month for the beautiful landscaping in 2023. Each year, one of the CMJ properties receives this award for its outstanding landscaping. We were so excited that Quaker Meadows won it for 2023. The flowers last year were breathtaking! This was mainly because of the hard work and efforts of Ana Sanchez. She fertilized them and made sure they always had plenty of water. They grew to heights we have not seen before. The property looked beautiful because of her hard work and dedication to the community. We hope that the flowers in 2024 match or surpass what was achieved in 2023. Thank you Ana!

We would like to thank Ruth Thompson and Dionicio Echevarria for volunteering to water the potted plants at Green Street. Each year they look so beautiful because of their efforts. We appreciate it! Thank you!

We would like to thank MANY of you who stay and help clean up and put everything away after the summer cookouts. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!

Do you want to nominate someone in the community that stands out by giving back or going above and beyond? Someone who has an interesting hobby, or job, has a milestone birthday coming up, or has made a positive impact in the community, if so, please let us know so we may feature them in the next newsletter.

Maintenance Notes 🔧

Bathroom exhaust vent: Please remember to turn on the bathroom exhaust vent while showering to keep the humidity to a minimum. It is best to leave the exhaust fan running for 15 minutes after showering and leave the bathroom door open as well. If you have a window in your bathroom, please leave it open after showering to prevent the humidity build up.

Fire and Evacuation Procedures: are now on the website under the resident tab. Please take a few minutes to review them and print them for your home. If you would like us to print it and send it to you, please call the office, we would be happy to send it to you.

Please check your air conditioner filter to make sure it is clean before running your A/C. A clean filter will help your air conditioner run more efficiently for longer, as dirt and grime will cause it to overwork and use more energy than necessary. Keeping your air conditioner filters clean helps the cooling process, allowing you to chill the room faster and turn the air conditioner off earlier.
